Update: Family Tree PHP 0.3.5

A new version of Family Tree PHP is available for download: version 0.3.5. This version contains some bugs fixes and some minor improvements. There is no need for exisiting users to update immediately, unless you encounter one of the fixed bugs or want to use one of the improvements.

Improvements:

• Editable texts: forms for each language are now on the same page.
• Editable texts: each text for each language can be copied from another language.
• Admin can add extra pages (just as easy as editable texts).
• Expired cache files are deleted automaticly.
• Login page shows stats box instead of history box.
• Gendex file is always accessable, even if login is always required.
• Success message on login and logout.

Bug fixes:

• Leap dates where not shown correctly (February 29 was shown as March 1).
• Backup restore gave an error, although the restore was indeed completed.
• Comments could not be deleted when not using Ajax.
• Names with only a surname were not imported properly.
• Event type values where not imported properly.

How to update:

• Upload all files of the new version to your server.
• Open in your browser the file ‘update.php’.
• Follow the instructions.

If you use other template sets than the ‘Default’ template set, you also have to update these. Otherwise your site won’t work properly anymore. If you have made your own template files, you will have to edit these too.

Make sure you check out the new options for user rights and texts after you have updated!
