Update: Family Tree PHP 0.3.4

A new version of Family Tree PHP is available for download: version 0.3.4. This version contains some bugs fixes and some minor improvements. There is no need for exisiting users to update immediately, unless you encounter one of the fixed bugs or want to use one of the improvements.

Improvements:

• Any page can be set as starting page (instead of the default one).
• Maximum of generations for ancestors and descendants lists editable via user rights.
• Editable text on comment submission page.
• Gedcoms can be uploaded as a zip file.
• A list of Gedcom files on the server; these files can be downloaded or deleted.
• Approve/edit/delete links in admin email notification after new user registration.
• Backup files can be downloaded.

Bug fixes:

• Relationships: error message when no relation found was not displayed.
• On multimedia pages pictures where only shown when a user had the right to see the picture in original size.

How to update:

• Upload all files of the new version to your server.
• Open in your browser the file ‘update.php’.
• Follow the instructions.

If you use other template sets than the ‘Default’ template set, you also have to update these. Otherwise your site won’t work properly anymore. If you have made your own template files, you will have to edit these too.

Make sure you check out the new options for user rights and texts after you have updated!
